A lot of manufacturers at this November’s Pack Expo had revealed their new craft beer equipment back at CBC. While they were happy to talk about their craft machines, many of which were there on the show floor, they didn’t demonstrate the kind of energy they might have back in the spring when they could say, “This is brand new!”
The other factor here was that many of these companies were selling these machines faster than they could make them, so they didn’t feel any great need to really market them in the ways you might expect.
To my surprise, the two places I found the most interesting competition were in much smaller categories: can handles and crowlers. To learn just why things are getting exciting in these areas, you can check out my piece at CraftBrewingBusiness.com.
